Kountry Plunge stays perfect with NYSS win at Vernon

Vernon, NY – Kountry Plunge (Brian Sears) takes the $110,200 leg of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 2-year-old trotting fillies at Vernon Downs on Friday (Sept. 4)
Secret Lover (Braxten Boyd) took the lead from her outside post and led to the quarter in ::28.1. Kountry Plunge ($2.62) made her move heading down the backstretch taking control to the half in :59.2. She cruised to three quarters in 1:27.4.
As they reached the stretch, second place finisher Secret Lover and third place finisher Jula Florence (Tyler Miller) went all out after the lead, but Kountry Plunge poured it on and won in 1:55.1.
Kountry Plunge (Chapter Seven-Plunge Blue Chip) is trained by Ake Svandstedt for owners Bender Sweden, OBM Stable, Ecurie Diocles AB, Svanstedt & Midnight Son. She is now four for four in her young career.
